Adidas and Greenpeace have teamed up to raise awareness of the increasing contamination of our oceans through the use of plastic. Both organisations are struggling to make people conscious of the effect of their consumption of plastic, particularly products which can only be used once.
As a result, Adidas has launched a collection of trainers made of recycled plastics. Other organisations such as Surfrider organise events such as an annual beach clean-up. The NGO Global 2000 created a realistic graphic to show the detrimental damage that plastic causes to the oceans. Above all, it seeks to remind us that, since water makes up over 70% of the Earth's surface, it is about time we take more care of the oceans to ensure that plastic never replaces the fish.
