Partha Sarathi Roy

Currently Geospatial Chair Professor, Center for Earth & Space Sciences, University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad and former Deputy Director of National Remote Sensing Centre and leading multidisciplinary natural resource scientists. Dr Roy, professionally an ecologist has made scientific contributions in developing remote sensing based methods to study vegetation, landscapes and ecosystems. He is part of international geospatial mapping and validation team (South Asia) for Global Land Cover - 2000; initiative undertaken in Millennium Ecosystem Program of UN-FAO and ESA. His most significant contribution is in the planning, designing and execution of the consequential National Database for Emergency Management (NDEM) - a multi-institutional initiative of Ministry of Home Affairs to create national database for handing multiform contingencies at three different levels. He has instituted Masters, Postgraduate Diploma and Certificate programme at Indian Institute of Remote Sensing (IIRS) with technical collaboration with International Institute of Geo-information Science and Earth Observation Science (ITC), The Netherlands. He has published more than 116 papers in peer reviewed national and international journals, edited 4 books and contributed 29 chapters in different books. He is Fellow of Nature Conservators, National Academy of Sciences (FNASc), Indian Geophysical Union, National Academy of Agriculture Sciences (FNAAS), National Institute of Ecology. As an advocate for geospatial technologies, his goal is to promote sustainable development, appropriate technology, service learning, and system thinking in his area of scientific research that includes disaster management, spatial analysis and modeling, surveying, satellite remote sensing mapping, monitoring of natural resource, landscape ecology and biodiversity conservation. 

 

Krishna Prakash Tripathi

At present, Secretary, Agri Innovation Foundation (AIF), Lucknow and former Principal Scientist (S&WCE), CSWCRTI, Dehradun (Uttarakhand). He has handled Research, Training, Planning, Evaluation & monitoring and consultancy in the field of Watershed Development, Watershed Hydrology, Soil and Water Conservation, Stream Training (Drainage Line Treatment), Assessment of extractable quantity of River Bed Material and farm development. He had undertaken eighteen external funded projects totalling around Rs. 460.097 Lakhs. Member of Consortium Monitoring Unit (CMU) and the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) plan of the project entitled “Improvement in livelihood security of rural people living in disadvantaged districts of Uttar Pradesh through diversification in Agriculture” being implemented at C.C Azad University of Agriculture and Technology, Kanpur (UP) under National Agricultural Innovation Project (NAIP), ICAR, MoA, Govt. of India, New Delhi sanctioned for 2008-2009 to 2011-12 at an estimated cost of Rs. 678.794 lakhs. He was member of editorial board of various journals, chairman Agricultural Engineering Division Board, IEI, Kolkata and IEI, UKSC for the session 2010 – 2012. He has published around 140 papers, book chapters, manuals, and reports. He has done M. Tech. (Agril Engg, IIT Kharagpur) in 1977 with specialization in S&WC, B. Tech. (Agril Engg, Pantnagar, 1974) and joined Indian Council of Agricultural Research (I.C.A.R.) as Scientist-S1 (Soil and Water Conservation Engineering) through Agricultural Research Service (A.R.S.) in 1977. 

Steve Kostoff

CEO of Green Business Audit & Training, Australia. Whilst he has held numerous senior management and business development positions throughout  his  career,  his  roots  are  from  the  small  business sector. From a lifetime in family business, he understands the constant pressures placed upon the small business operator and seeks to overcome them. This strong affinity has not been lost today as he actively consults and facilitates workshops in business management, environmental education and sustainable commercial practices. With qualifications in environmental management (1978) and business management, he has been able to incorporate strategies for sustainable business and energy efficiency (including waste management, recycling, efficient design, life-cycle analysis, EMS) into all of the work places he has managed. These have included hotels and hospitality complexes, commercial tenancies, and significant franchise operations. He has travelled the world extensively and lived in Boston and London. Steve is fluent in the Macedonian language and has a strong cultural and social conscience. His sector experience includes Business, Environmental, Telco, Retail, Hospitality, Community Development, RTO, Welfare, Management, Franchising and Project Management, with Industry and Government Board and Panel positions. His certification include Cert IV in Home Sustainability Assessment, Cert IV in Business Sustainability Assessment and Cert IV in Carbon Management. 

 

Anil Kumar Garg

Chief Consultant (Town & Country Planning). He has hold very senior level post such as Ex. Chief Town Planner and Ex. Chief Coordinator Planner (NCR), Govt. of Haryana. He acted as advisor for SEZs, residential, commercial, and industrial projects, development strategies, tourism master plan, and environment impact assessment. He has been consultant to Consulting Engineering Services (India) Pvt. Ltd., Uppal, Reliance, Ansal, and Sahara group. He is head and managing Gurgaon, Haryana efforts of HRDEF. He has done B. Arch. from University of Roorkee (now IIT, Roorkee) and PG (Dip.) TCP (HCP) 

 

Apoorve Kumar Garg

At present, Head - Commercial (Plant) at ADM Agro Industries Latur & Vizag Pvt. Ltd part of Archer Daniels Midland (ADM), USA. A competent professional having 15 years’ experience with over 12 years post qualification experience with Agro Commodity Industry in the area of: Strategic Planning, Commodity Trading, Risk Management, Process Development, Internal Controls & Compliance, Management Reporting. One year international experience and proficient in handling issues related to operations, structured financing, sales, execution etc. He drive profitable growth and expansion by building robust systems & processes having problem solving, decision making and analytical capabilities. An effective communicator with good leadership, planning, interpersonal and people management skills. He is qualified Chartered Accountant from The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.

Richard Labelle

Consultant, Technology for Development (ICT4D, Cleantech), currently working with Canadian engineering firm, Caribbean based private sector operators, Asc-IST, The Aylmer Group. Previously worked with Govt. of Canada, World Bank, UNDP, and ICRAF (World Agroforesty Centre). He has extensive international experience in development, technology, environment, sustainable agriculture, governance, sustainability in general, trade and related issues. Focus on using ICTs, sustainable technologies (cleantech) and related technologies and management practices for poverty reduction, economic development, economic inclusiveness, trade enhancement, capacity building, governance and empowerment, sustainability, climate action and low emissions development (LED). He has worked in 58 emerging and developing countries for policy analysis, strategic and operational assessments and planning, participatory development and consultative processes, high level negotiation, training and coaching, project management and monitoring and evaluation. Further he is expert in Competitive analysis, country & sector analysis, rapid assessments of demand / need, cross cultural skills, community engagement & empowerment, participatory assessment, social networks, technology trend analysis, sustainability assessments, trade integration, mobile money, poverty reduction, financial inclusion, climate change, climate mitigation technologies & strategies, proposal writing, ICT4D, ICT for environmental & climate action, region/economic integration. James A. Gregson

Associate Dean and Professor, College of Education, University of Idaho, USA having research interest in Development of a “green collar” workforce, Sustainability Education. He has done Ed.D., in Comprehensive Vocational and Technical Education from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University, Blacksburg, VA. He has published more than 40 nationally refereed publications, authored seven book chapters, made more than 80 national peer reviewed presentations, and served as Associate Editor for three national journals related to workforce development. He has received eight national honors from various professional organizations for his scholarship. He has been the Principal Investigator for over two million dollars of grants and contracts related to research, instruction, and service. Dr. Gregson has served as a consultant to the United States Agency for International Aid, Mongolian Gobi Economic Growth Initiative; the Brazilian Federal Technological Education Schools and Centers, and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, University of Tennessee. Before coming to the UI, he managed his own company, Earth Friendly Construction. 

 

Amulya Garga

Entrepreneur, Strategist, Innovator, Results oriented, high energy leader with deep knowledge of technology and understanding of the market. Former Senior Manager, Strategic Planning and Development at Lockheed Martin, USA. He was involved with product and research engineering and taught at Penn State University. He excels at strategy, partnerships, program management and technology innovation with over $10 million R&D to government and industry.  His expertise includes Data Analytics and Data Fusion, Prognostics, Serious Games, Nanotechnology and Electronics. He is winner of IEEE Third Millennium Medal, LM Qualified Information Systems Architect, American Helicopter Society Best Paper, and having 2 patents with more than 40 publications.  Further, he is skilled at listening to customers to understand their needs, forming high performance teams, mentoring, and growth of talent.  He completed executive education from The Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania, PhD, MS from Penn State University and BS from University of Pittsburgh.

Ashwani Kumar

Former Head of the Department of Botany, and Director Life Sciences, University of Rajasthan, Jaipur. Ex-Member Board of studies and Academic Council of several Universities, Advisory committee on Biotechnology, Govt of Rajasthan, Medicinal plant board of state Government, member selection committees of Rajasthan and Himachal Public Service Commissions. He was awarded Alexender von Humboldt Fellowship in 1977-1979, British Council Visitor-ship, U.K. (1986) Visiting Professorship at Tomyama Medical and Pharmaceutical University, Japan (1999-2000) INSA-DFG visiting Professorship at Germany, 1997 and DAAD award 1999. He has published around 180 papers in National and International journals and is member of editorial board of IBS several journals including Current Trends in Biotechnology and Pharmacy, He has also been awarded fellowships by different societies including FABAP -Fellow Association of Biotechnology and Pharmacology, FBS (Fellow of Botanical Society), FPSI (Fellow of Phytopathological Society), FISMPP Indian Society of Mycology and Plant Pathology, FMA-Fellow Mendelian Association. He has guided research to 35 students to Ph.D. in various branches of botany including plant pathology, plant tissue culture and morphogenesis, plant biotechnology, plant physiology, pharmacognostisc, ethnobotany and renewable sources of energy. He is still continuing his researches on renewable sources of energy mainly Jatropha curcas and has been consultant in World Bank Project sanctioned to SPRI-HPPI. 

 

Wynn Calder

Wynn is director of the Association of University Leaders for Sustainable Future (ULSF) and Sustainable Schools, LLC. Wynn is review editor for the Journal of Education for Sustainable Development (Sage). He facilitates professional development workshops, consults on topics such as sustainable operations and sustainability in the curriculum, and conducts campus sustainability assessments. He is involved with NAIS, AASHE as adviser and prior to joining ULSF, Wynn worked for six years at Harvard University in academic advising, undergraduate admissions and departmental administration. He received his Bachelor’s degree from Harvard University in 1984 and his Master’s from Harvard Divinity School in 1993

 

Paul Bana

Paul has a 17 year career in a variety of business management roles focused on organisational learning, development and change management and is a WIAL certified Action Learning coach.  He has developed and applied learning programs on strategic planning, sustainable development, resource efficiency​ and effective communication. He also conducts training in business management, carbon management and energy efficiency. He is strongly motivated to help individuals and organisations on their path of discovering better ways to develop and implement their strategies, to build new relationships and enhance learning capabilities. He has had the privilege of working with a wide range of local and international clients. Paul has trained and mentored many business start-ups, establishing need analysis, developing action plans, setting key performance indicators and communicating with stakeholders. He is Trainer,  Business Development Practitioner, Home Sustainability Assessor, and Solar PV Design Consultant. He is also fluent in Lithuanian and Russian, and has delivered training programs in India and Lithuania. ​ He holds a Masters of Business Administration qualification and a graduate certificate in Education and Training for Sustainability, in addition to other qualifications in energy auditing and carbon management.
